-In 7 days, I am down 3 pounds.
- I am not really focusing in on those numbers, bc I know I will be gaining muscle mass and those numbers might go back up. However, it is really encouraging to see results so quickly. Hard work really does pay off!!
- Anyone who knows me know I am a coffee fiend! I honestly never planned on drinking less coffee because I love it so much. I always say "It's my thing, ok!" However, I had developed quite a dependence on it. If I didn't have 2 or 3 cups by mid-day, I was getting a headache. Plus, I was putting quite a bit of creamer in it which are sneaky little calories I liked to try and ignore. After the first day of drinking Shakeology, I actually didn't crave my coffee as much and I didn't get a headache. WHAT??!! I couldn't believe it! I had one cup of coffee in the morning and one in the evening and I was completely satisfied. Now, I feel like I really get to ENJOY the few cups of coffee I drink rather than NEEDING it. Think of the money I will save!
-I am getting more sleep
- I love going to the gym, but it was taking at least 2 hours out of each day. By the time I loaded up my kids, dropped them off at childcare, went to an hour long class, picked the kids back up, and headed back home, I had lost 2 very valuable hours of my day. We wouldn't get home until 6:00 or after, so the kids were starving and I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get dinner prepared when I got home. Doing these 30-minute workouts in the morning before anyone else wakes up has been life-changing! I feel energized the whole day. I don't have kids moaning and complaining about having to go to the gym. I feel much more organized and prepared for the day ahead. And the workouts are really transforming my body. And having an extra 2 hours each day means I have more time to do daily duties and I get to bed earlier. SCORE!!! Oh, and I am thinking of canceling my gym membership, so I will definitely be saving a pretty little penny!
-It has totally curbed my sweet tooth.
- Like my coffee habit, I had developed a habit of eating a little too much sugar. I took it in small doses, a few chocolate chips here and a fun-sized Snickers there, but by the end of the day, those small doses added up to a nice large dose. I was a little nervous starting the eating plan because I thought I would really feel deprived not having those treats everyday. But sticking to the food plan and drinking Shakeology has really helped to curb those cravings. I can honestly say that I did not have any sweets the whole week, until Sunday when I rewarded myself with chocolate covered strawberries. It's OK to treat yourself every once in a while. But it should be just that; a TREAT, not a habit.
-Progress Photos
- I had never taken progress photos before, but my program really encourages you to do so in order to SEE your results. Like I mentioned, the scale is not always a good indicator of your progress because weight can fluctuate so much based on water weight, muscle mass, and what you ate for dinner the night before. Photos give you a much clearer idea of your progress. Now I am a pretty modest person and I almost never show my midriff, but I want you to see how well the program is working for me, so here is a sneak peek of my progress.
So what are YOU waiting for??? I will be starting a challenge group March 7 and I would LOVE for you to join me! Contact me so I can help you get started! You will be so happy you did!!!!
